Yew Tree Fisheries is 1 mile outside the picturesque
village of Thornton Hough.
This fishery, created by an angler, was opened
as day ticket water in the summer 2009 and
run to the highest standards possible.
Consisting of 2 well stocked lakes
The larger being of approximately 1 acre has
26 pegs with ample room for all types of fishing.
It contains plenty of Tench
between 4 and 9 lb.
and a good head of Carp to 23 lb
There are Barbel and Bream up to 6lb
.All the usual silver fish, Rudd, Roach,
Skimmers, Ide,and
small Cats.
The smaller well established lake of approximately
1/4 of an acre is surrounded by
yellow flag iris and has 8 well spaced pegs.
It contains the same as the large lake but with a bigger variety of carp up to 10lb.
